Our hand crafted silk sageo are made exclusively for us by crafts people that have been recognized by the Imperial Household for keeping traditional methods alive.  We use only the best quality silks, dyed naturally and woven specifically as sageo. We understand that the weaves for sageo must be different then the weaves used for tsuka-ito. Swordstore.com does not compromise with less expensive synthetics and chemical dyes or less expensive weaves.
